Stephen E. Griffin-AAI
Mr. Griffin is the President of Insurance People, Inc. He is a
native of Durham and graduate from the University of North
Carolina, Wilmington. Mr. Griffin has over 27 years experience
in the insurance industry. He specializes in Business Insurance.
Mr. Griffin also enjoys creating business insurance programs for
several different associations.
Ramona L. Putnam – CIC, CISR, IIA Ms. Putnam has over 22 years experience in the insurance industry on both the agency side and company side. She maintains her Property, Casualty and Brokers licenses. Ramona specializes in large commercial accounts. She joined Insurance People, Inc. in August 2002. Her accomplishments include attaining the professional designations of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Institute of America certification (IIA) and Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR). Mary E. Smith Mary Smith has over 26 years experience as a personal lines customer service representative. She obtained her property and casualty insurance license in 1987 and joined Insurance People, Inc. in October 2002.
Joyce A. Knox Joyce joined Insurance People in 2005 with over 15 years of experience from a managing general agency as an underwriter and processing trainer in commercial lines. Joyce began her career with Insurance People as a licensed Property and Casualty agent writing commercial new business and then transitioned to Personal Lines. Joyce is a native of Maryland and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Statistics. She has been a resident of Durham since 1978. LIFE & HEALTH BENEFITS
Mary E. Henson Mary came to Insurance People in 2011 with over 16 years of experience in the Life and Health insurance arena. She is originally from Chicago by way of Dallas, Baltimore and DC. Mary is a graduate of St. Catherine University with a B.A. in Marketing. Her various careers include being a Federal Regulatory Paralegal for 10 years in Chicago and DC; Human Resources in Baltimore, and selling Insurance in Baltimore and Raleigh. Mary is the current Secretary for the Triangle Health Underwriters Association. She maintains licenses in Life and Health, Individual and Medicare Supplement. Mary will work with the Life and Health groups. COMMERCIAL LINES
Angela M. Taylor – CIC, CISR
Angela has over 34 years experience as an insurance
agent/customer service representative. She maintains her
Property, Casualty, Life, Accident & Health and Brokers
licenses. She graduated from the Institute of Insurance in 1979,
obtained the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR)
designation in 1989 and obtained the Certified Insurance
Counselor (CIC) designation in 2007. Angela joined Insurance
People, Inc. in August 2002 as a Commercial/Personal Lines
Customer Service Agent.
Michelle has 4 years experience as an insurance agent/customer
service representative. She maintains her Property, Casualty,
Life, Accident & Health licenses. Michelle joined Insurance
People, Inc. in May 2007 as a Life & Health Benefits Customer
Service Agent transitioning to Commercial Lines in 2008. She
obtained the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR)
designation in 2011. Laura joined Insurance People in June 2010 with over 15 years experience in the tax and financial fields. She obtained her Property & Casualty licenses in July 2010 and works in the accounting office at the Agency. Laura graduated from the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill with a degree in Economics and has lived in the Durham- Chapel Hill area since 1985.
Kathleen A. Mc Innis – CISR
Kathleen has worked in the insurance industry since 1999. She
joined Insurance People, Inc. in July 2002. She received her
Life, Accident, & Health license in 2003 and Property & Casualty
license in 2004. She obtained her CISR (Certified Insurance
Service Representative) designation in 2011. Kathleen graduated
from Campbell University in 1989 with a B. S. degree in Social
Work. She is very active in her church and community. PRODUCERS
Howard Ross-ChFC Howard was born and raised in Durham. He graduated with a degree in Accounting from N.C. State University in 1979. He entered the insurance industry upon graduation from college. Howard specializes in corporate benefits, individual life and disability insurance. He has his Life, Accident, Health, Property & Casualty licenses. He completed the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation issued by The American College, in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Howard is active in various community and civic groups. He is a current member, and past president, of the North Durham Rotary Club.
John L. Ramsey Mr. Ramsey joined Insurance People in November 2008 with over 35 years experience in the financial services industry. Maintaining offices in both Durham, NC and Charleston, SC, he specializes in serving large commercial accounts and educational institutions.
Cheryl Nabell Cheryl represents Insurance People in Wilmington NC where she specializes in unique challenges associated with coastal risk management for businesses and individuals. She has over 15 years of property and casualty insurance experience, working both on the company side in the actuarial field and as an agent. Cheryl joined Insurance People in 2008 and is a summa cum laude graduate of University of South Carolina.
Andy Beckman
Andrew (Andy) joined Insurance People in February of 2011, and
brings 10 years of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service
experience. He provides insurance for Businesses and Individuals
in both the commercial and personal lines departments. Andy is a
former college tennis player, and enjoys playing anytime he gets
the chance. He is a graduate of Auburn University, and holds
licenses in Property & Casualty, Life, Accident & Health, and a
Series 6.
Matt joined Insurance People in 2010. Matt is a native of Durham
County and is a recent graduate of the University of North
Carolina, Wilmington. Matt has intern experience from both the
agency side and the carrier side. Dr. Morley joined Insurance People, Inc. in March of 2009 with over 30 years executive experience in human resources management & non-profit organizations. He earned an MBA & doctorate in pastoral counseling. He is currently an Adjunct Faculty member of the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro. His primary focus will be providing property & liability insurance solutions to professional associations, non-profits, schools, consultants, retirement & assisted living centers.
Andrew M. Pate Andrew joined Insurance People in 2011. Born and raised in Belmont, N.C., he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2007 with degrees in Marketing and Management. Andrew comes to us with 4 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry and currently maintains his Life, Accident, Health, Property & Casualty licenses; as well as his Series 6 and 63 securities licenses. In his spare time Andrew enjoys playing golf, watching sports and spending time with his wife, Carly, along with their families and friends.
Julia Carpico
Julia joined Insurance People in October of 2012 and holds a
Bachelor of Science Degree from Drexel University in
Philadelphia, PA. Licensed in Property and Casualty Insurance,
Julia holds 10 years of Luxury Hotel Sales and Marketing
experience from both the Four Seasons Hotel Company and
Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. A native of Kinnelon, NJ, she
currently resides with her family in Chapel Hill, NC.
Steve joins Insurance People with 30 years experience in
nonprofit arts management, sales, small business & Education. He
served on the Durham County School Board for two terms and
trained as a Board Training Consultant with the Center for
Reform of School Systems. Steve holds a property & casualty
license in North Carolina. |
